Real Estate Accountant

Our client is hiring for a Real Estate Accountant in the Atlanta, GA area. This role will support accounting functions for development and operating real estate assets, including joint venture reporting and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong general ledger experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position offers exposure to both development and property operations within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close processes, including financial statement review, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Review and process accounts payable, tenant billing, and receivables while supporting collections efforts
• Track development project costs, prepare loan draws, and maintain project reporting in accounting systems
• Prepare joint venture reporting packages, including financials, cash distributions, and partner allocations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of real estate or development accounting experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills and general ledger accounting experience; Yardi experience is a plus
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills with ability to meet deadlines
