Project Accountant

6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Project Accountant in Cobb County. This role supports project and construction teams by managing project-level accounting activities, including draws, change orders, and cost reporting. The Project Accountant will partner closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate financial tracking, compliance, and timely processing in a fast-paced environment.  This role is fully in office for the first 90 days and then there is performance based flexibility for 1 day work from home. Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with draw requests, change orders, and project cost reporting.

• Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice coding and reconciliation.

• Maintain project budgets, vendor documentation, delivery tickets, and project files.

• Support audits, sales tax reporting, and professional communication with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

• Prior experience in project or construction accounting strongly preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.

• Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Timberline preferred.
