6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Senior Accounting Analyst in Atlanta, GA. Our client is a fast-growing national specialty retailer, and they’re adding a Senior Analyst to their corporate accounting team. This person will own key pieces of monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP reporting while acting as a go-to accounting resource for stores and corporate departments. It’s a hybrid schedule with four days in the office and work-from-home Fridays, and the team is heading into an Oracle go-live in March. That makes it a great time to step in, make an impact on process improvement, and grow with a company that promotes from within.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close tasks, including journal entries, general ledger reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting and ad hoc analyses for senior management
• Research complex accounting issues and new standards, write position papers, and present findings to the Controller and CFO
• Mentor and review the work of staff accountants, and partner with internal and external auditors to keep audits running smoothly

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, from public accounting or industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and SOX internal controls
• CPA or actively working toward one strongly preferred
