6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Sr. Accounting Consultant in Atlanta, GA. Our client is a multi-location retailer that has grown fast over the last five years, and their accounting team needs an experienced consultant to help get things cleaned up. This is a true floater role for someone who knows the GL inside and out and is happy to jump in wherever the team needs help. Expect a lot of hands-on operational accounting, especially sales audit and cash reconciliations. It’s a great fit for a critical thinker who likes rolling up their sleeves and putting things back in order. This role is in office 4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cash reconciliations across a high volume of store and bank accounts
• Support sales audit, researching and resolving variances
• Analyze, clean up, and correct GL balances and post adjusting journal entries
• Step in on operational accounting and month end projects as priorities shift

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger knowledge
• Hands-on experience with cash reconciliations and sales audit
• Oracle experience strongly preferred
• Retail or multi-location experience is a plus, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
