Our client is hiring a Senior Accountant in Alpharetta, GA. This global specialty materials manufacturer, with thousands of employees and more than 30 facilities worldwide, is growing its corporate accounting team. You’ll report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and own a big piece of the month-end close and general ledger. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll build scalable processes, tighten controls, and use AI and automation to work smarter. The role is hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office, and it’s a great fit for someone who wants real impact inside a company that’s still building.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries and accruals under US GAAP, and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close
- Perform account reconciliations, dig into variances and open items, and keep the general ledger accurate and complete
- Assist with internal and external financial reporting and handle ad hoc analysis requests from management
- Find ways to streamline accounting processes with AI and automation, and support system enhancements and ERP integrations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 2 to 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, industry, or both
- Strong command of general ledger accounting and US GAAP, with ERP experience (JDE a plus) and Blackline
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) and exposure to or interest in AI tools like Copilot
