One of our clients is looking to hire a contract Property Accountant in Atlanta, GA. This commercial real estate firm, which owns and manages a portfolio of retail shopping centers, needs an experienced property accountant for a short-term contract. You’ll step in to keep day-to-day accounting on track, covering payables, receivables, reconciliations, and monthly reporting. The contract is expected to last for several weeks, so it’s ideal for someone who can hit the ground running in Yardi Voyager with little ramp-up. It’s hybrid, with 3 to 4 days a week in the office, and a great chance to add a solid CRE client to your resume.
Responsibilities:
- Enter accounts payable and accounts receivable activity, including tenant billings and vendor invoices
- Prepare and post journal entries and complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Run and review monthly property financial statements
- Update and maintain tenant lease profiles in Yardi, including rent changes and lease modifications
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of property accounting experience, preferably with commercial or retail real estate
- Hands-on Yardi Voyager experience (required)
- Solid understanding of AP/AR, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
