A client of 6 Degrees Group is hiring for a Project Accountant in Atlanta, GA. Our client is a well-established construction company looking to add a Project Accountant to their finance team. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Project Managers to prepare owner billings, process job cost and overhead invoices, and keep subcontractor payments and lien waivers moving smoothly. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s comfortable juggling AP/AR reconciliations, monthly collections reporting, and day-to-day vendor relationships. It’s a good fit if you thrive under deadlines and want a role where no two days look the same.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Project Managers to prepare owner billings and respond to job cost and subcontractor questions
• Process overhead and job cost invoices throughout the month, and manage day-to-day billing and payment issues with vendors and subcontractors
• Collect, log, and verify lien waivers from subcontractors and suppliers for every payout, and submit them to project owners as required
• Reconcile and close AP/AR monthly, prepare monthly collection reports, and assist with the monthly cash reconciliation process

Qualifications:

• 5-15 years of accounting experience; construction accounting and subcontractor billing experience a plus
• Viewpoint software experience preferred; familiarity with Textura and title company processes a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and see projects through to completion
• Comfortable working under deadlines, building relationships with a wide variety of people, and proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
