Our client in Atlanta is hiring a Controller for their construction group. This position will partner closely with the VP to oversee financial and construction accounting functions, ensuring all day-to-day accounting operations are executed in accordance with established policies and accounting principles. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls. This role offers high visibility to senior leadership, and being fully in office is an important component for this role. There will be ample opportunity to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies. This role includes a lucrative bonus in addition to base compensation.
Responsibilities:

Manage monthly close process, including accurate recording of transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Oversee construction costing, inventory costing methods, and ERP system accuracy.

Coordinate monthly financial reporting to senior management, including KPI and P&L analysis.

Support internal controls, sales tax reporting, annual audit coordination, and year-end tax preparation.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

5–7 years of progressive accounting experience; construction industry experience REQUIRED.

Strong background in financial reporting, audit coordination, and cost accounting.

Positive attitude with the ability to multitask and collaborate across departments.
