Project Accountant

Our client in Duluth is hiring for the role of Project Accountant. The ideal candidate will bring experience in job cost accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a strong understanding of project billing processes. This role offers hands-on exposure to accounting operations and close collaboration with project management teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on accounting projects, policies, and procedures to improve automation and efficiency.

• Record journal entries for monthly accounting activities, including job cost adjustments and accruals.

• Assist with monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and review general ledger accuracy.

• Prepare project billings and coordinate with project managers to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in construction accounting, with exposure to job costing and project billing.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid general ledger knowledge.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
