6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Corporate Controller in Atlanta, GA.
This senior leadership role oversees the corporate accounting function, including consolidated financial reporting, close processes, and compliance reporting. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in real estate or project-based accounting, have experience managing a team, and be highly analytical and detail-oriented. This is a hybrid role with an initial in-office requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the corporate accounting team through all close and reporting cycles.

  • Oversee internal and external financial reporting, lender compliance, REIT testing, and audits.

  • Support financial planning, entity management, payroll, and treasury functions.

  • Review contracts, calculate investor returns, and support system enhancements and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required, Big 4 experience strongly preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial statement preparation.

  • Strong real estate or residential accounting experience; Yardi knowledge a plus.

  • Exceptional Excel skills, contract literacy, and excellent analytical and communication abilities.
