Our client is hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst in Atlanta, GA. This role sits within the FP&A team and serves as the go-to financial expert for a specific business unit, partnering closely with departments across the company. The Senior Financial Analyst will lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis while building financial models and executive-level reporting for senior leadership. Retail industry experience is a plus, and this role offers real visibility with business unit owners through monthly trend presentations. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans for a designated business unit
- Analyze actual performance against budget, monitor KPI trends, and build financial models, ROI, and pro forma analyses
- Present monthly financial trends and forecast updates to business unit owners and senior leadership
- Use SQL and BI tools to source data, build dashboards, and support ad-hoc analysis and special projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or CPA preferred
- 3+ years of FP&A experience, ideally within the retail industry
- Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling, plus experience with Power BI, SQL, and ERP systems (SAP, or Oracle ideal)
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance audiences
