Our client is hiring for a Senior Accountant in Alpharetta, GA. This hybrid opportunity offers one day per week work-from-home flexibility and is ideal for an accounting professional with strong multi-state sales and use tax experience. The role will support a variety of accounting functions including tax compliance, reconciliations, fixed assets, and audit support within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working independently while collaborating across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all sales and use tax functions including filings, reconciliations, tax rate assignments, and vendor coordination
- Prepare month-end journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
- Support annual audits, property tax filings, government compliance reporting, and related accounting projects
- Serve as the primary contact for sales tax inquiries while supporting additional accounting functions and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; advanced education or certifications preferred
- 3–5 years of accounting experience with strong multi-state sales and use tax expertise required
- Proficiency with ERP systems, CRM software, Microsoft Office, and sales tax software platforms
- Strong understanding of GAAP with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
