6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Senior Accountant in Atlanta, GA.
This opportunity is with a global client offering a collaborative HQ accounting environment and exposure to complex financial reporting. The role will support month-end and year-end close activities and play a critical part in internal control and technical accounting functions, with a strong focus on SOX compliance and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly and annual close processes through journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

  • Maintain and update control documentation, including RCMs and SOPs, and assist with SOX control testing.

  • Partner with stakeholders to optimize internal controls and assist with audit-related documentation and processes.

  • Conduct technical accounting research on topics such as ASC 805, ASC 606, and ASC 705.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.

  • Public accounting experience is required.

  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting; PeopleSoft experience is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
