6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Controller/Accounting Manager in Alpharetta, GA.
This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, with a strong focus on project-based financial management. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in job cost analysis and percentage completion accounting, supporting leadership with accurate financial reporting and decision-making. This is a hands-on position that requires strong collaboration with project teams and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, AP/AR, and financial reporting.

  • Lead monthly and annual close processes and ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards.

  • Oversee job costing, WIP tracking, and project profitability analysis.

  • Support project managers and leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and billing accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with project or construction accounting.

  • Strong understanding of percentage completion accounting and cost analysis.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel; ERP system experience a plus.
