6 Degrees Group is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Alpharetta, GA. This is a high volume, hands on Accounts Payable Specialist role with a well established company in the landscaping and construction services industry. You would own the full payment cycle for vendors and subcontractors, from 3-way matching and invoice coding to processing weekly payments and reconciling vendor statements. It is an on-site, full-time role reporting to the AP Team Lead, with real opportunity to grow as the company continues to expand. Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and process invoices for materials, subcontractors, and equipment rentals, performing 3-way matching against POs and job site records
- Code invoices to the right jobs, cost codes, and general ledger accounts, and process weekly payments to vendors and subcontractors
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain organized vendor files including tax forms and insurance certificates
- Support month-end closing, financial reporting, and audits, plus help onboard new vendors and subcontractors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred, with QuickBooks or similar software experience a plus
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail, plus the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Construction industry experience is a plus, and bilingual English/Spanish candidates are a plus but not required
