Our client is hiring for a Director of Property Accounting in Atlanta. This role oversees financial reporting, property-level accounting, and compliance requirements across a commercial real estate portfolio. The position requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate brings deep real estate accounting experience and a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach. Commercial property accounting experience is a firm requirement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and prepare reporting for all assigned properties.
- Maintain accurate records, operating files, and financial data while supporting audits and annual budget preparation.
- Oversee system administration in MRI, including loan compliance reporting and cash management.
- Lead, train, and retain accounting staff while supervising Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- Ability to accurately record and classify financial transactions.
- Supervisory experience with strong organizational skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Self‑starter and team player with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
