Our client in the Atlanta metro area is hiring for a Real Estate Accountant. This in-office position offers a collaborative work environment with locations in Alpharetta and Buckhead. The role focuses on overseeing financial activities for multiple affordable multi-family housing investments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to asset managers. Candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with leadership, third-party managers, and financial partners in a growing and impactful sector.
Responsibilities:

Review and analyze monthly third-party property financials for accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

Approve and track fund payments, mortgage payments, and Housing Assistance Payments.

Provide guidance to asset managers on financial trends, health, and audit outcomes.

Assist with audits, respond to financial inquiries, and support various projects as assigned.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and knowledge of GAAP.

2+ years of audit and/or accounting experience; CPA preferred.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Yardi experience a plus.

Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy, strong communication skills, and adaptability.
